The Hollands Classic Fords
Welcome to our Website :
Facts :
Thank you for visiting our website. We are a father and son who are the proud owners of a 1960 Ford Anglia 105e and a 1971 Ford Escort MK1 Mexico.
As any classic car enthusiast will tell you, these sorts of car take a long time and a lot of money, blood sweat and tears (and beers) to get finished. In truth, they are the sort of cars that are never really finished. As they become ever more popular and desirable, new parts, trick bits and components, always crop up on the market to help you make your own classic, that little bit more special.
The Anglia was previously a company car and was aquired in 1998 for about £250, with all the bits in butter packs. The Escort, which has a rich racing history in Vecta Racing series, was bought for about a £2000 in 2000 time, it has all the kit and is set up perfectly for tarck days and quarter mile. The 1.7 Kent Push Rod that was once its heart has now been thrown into the Anglia. A 2.1 Pinto now provides the grunt for the Escort.
Recently the Escort has begun to near completion. A few small bits are left to get it finished to Holland standards. The Anglia will be off the road in Winter 09 to have a makeover. Watch this space.
Recent test runs at Santa Pod have proven the Escort to be the quicker of the 2 cars at the moment. A healthy 14.2 for the MK1 and not far behind was the Anglia on a 14.7.
A bit of fettling will see both of these cars in the regular low 13's with ease.
The Push Rod in the Anglia is a Harris tuned engine. Very lairy.
The MK1 used to be cream, purple and mauve. That was soon sorted.
